Accelerate up to just over 100 km/h (62 mph) and hold that speed. Brake straight after the tyre stacks and stop as quickly as possible without locking your wheels.

A locked tyre loses some of its grip and you will need more time to stop.

With locked wheels you will damage the surfaces of your tyres, by grinding the rubber off the spots in contact with the pavement, and get a so-called flatspot.
